To replace the steering gear crossmember at the front one should first lift and sustain the vehicle. Unscrew the mounting bolts of the engine shield and then detach the engine shield. Next, take off lower
Control Arm to frame mounting bolts and then take of the steering gear crossmember mounting bolts to dismount the steering gear crossmember. To install, start by positioning the steering gear crossmember. Make sure that you follow the fastener notice of service precautions, install the steering gear crossmember mounting bolts and tighten the bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Install the lower Control Arm to frame mounting bolts, and tighten them 265 n.m (196 lb ft). Reinstall the engine shield and fasten it using the mounting bolts, screwed to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Finally, lower the vehicle.
