You should begin the replacement process of the left engine mount and bracket by disconnecting the negative
Battery Cable. The j 41240 tool should be used to secure the Water Pump Pulley before loosening the cooling fan hub nut from the water pump shaft. Disconnect the
MAP Sensor and retainer and then the MAP Sensor electrical connector. The left shock module can be removed when working on frame mount removal. Begin by removing the engine mount nuts from both upper positions and lift the vehicle before taking out the lower position nuts on each side. Follow safety protocol by disconnecting the mount bolts for the engine protection shield then disassemble the shield but avoid damaging any components on the oil level sender during the placement process of the jack on the
Oil Pan. The vehicle should lower to floor position while a floor jack supports the Oil Pan with wood for the engine to reach a height allowing stud clearance. First remove the left engine mount from its bracket and then unscrew the bolts from the left engine mount bracket before taking away the left engine mount bracket. In case of necessity remove the left frame engine mount bracket bolts before taking out the bracket. Before reinstallation place the left frame engine mount bracket then fasten it using bolts tightened to 110 nm (81 ft. Lbs.). Afterward install the left engine mount bracket before bolting it into place with 50 nm torque (37 ft. Lbs.) while installing the left engine mount on top of the bracket. Lower the engine toward the engine mounts before installing right and left upper engine mount nuts and tightening them to 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.). After removing the jack, install the engine protection shield and fasten it with bolts while torquing them to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Place the right and left lower engine mount nuts before torquing them to 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.) while lowering the vehicle. Place back the left shock module together with the MAP Sensor and MAP Sensor retainer and their electrical connector in position. Complete the water pump installation by attaching the cooling fan hub nut to the shaft before threading on the j 41240 (J 41240) to the pulley then tightening the hub nut to 56 nm (41 ft. Lbs.) before reestablishing battery connection.
