Apply chassis grease (GM P/N 1051344 or equivalent) on the new crankshaft front oil seal before installation by tapping the oil seal to make its surface equal with the crankshaft front oil seal retainer edge. Use a hammer along with suitable driving instrument to smooth in the crankshaft front oil seal before setting the Crankshaft Pulley.
