    Start the tailgate handle replacement by opening the rear compartment lid and lowering the endgate. Begin by taking out the rear compartment lid endgate liner followed by removing the rear compartment endgate access panel. The installation starts by removing the endgate handle fasteners and bell crank fasteners before removing the endgate handle from the rear compartment endgate access panel. Place the endgate handle inside the rear compartment endgate access panel according to the Fastener Notice instructions. Drive the endgate handle fasteners to 7 N.m (61 lb in) torque and then bolt the bell crank and secure its fastener to 5 N.m (44 lb in). The procedure ends by reattaching the rear compartment endgate access panel and rear compartment endgate liner before closing both lids.
