How to replace the front Door Latch Assembly on Chevrolet SSR?

The process to replace the front door latch begins by first removing door trim panel and front water deflector. To begin remove the inside Door Handle from the door before disconnecting the clip that holds the outside Door Handle rod to the front Door Lock. Extract the outside lock rod both from the door latch and inner lower lock rod. Disassemble the front door latch by removing its screws followed by disconnecting its electric wires. The latch leaves the access hole of the front door inner panel for removal. Place the latch through the front door inner panel entry and join electrical wires to the lock unit for installation. Secure the latch screws within the front Door Lock while tightening their torque to 10 n.m (89 lb in). First disconnect the clip that holds the outside handle rod at the front Door Lock and then install the outside rod onto the door latch followed by attaching the inner lower lock rod. The Door Lock system operation needs inspection before installing the front door water deflector and door trim panel.
