Once the valve lifters are removed from the guide, organize or note down the components correctly for reinstallation. Lube the valve lifters as well as the engine block valve lifter bores before installing the lifters into the lifter guides. The flat side of top of the lifter should rest against the flat side in the guide bore. Push length of the lifters entirely into guide bore and then receive valve lifters and guide back to engine block. Install the valve lifter guide bolt and tighten it to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.); finally reinstallation of the Cylinder Head and gasket.
