Put a drain under the engine Oil Pan to collect the oil, then remove the engine oil Drain Plug and gasket to let out the engine oil. Following that, take out the right side lower engine splash shield and the flywheel inspection cover of the vehicle if it is of a manual transaxle. Remove the fourteen bolts (1,2,4-13,15,16) and two nuts (3,14) from the lower cylinder block while ensuring not to damage the lower cylinder block, Oil Pan contact surface. Carefully remove the engine Oil Pan and clean the inside of this Oil Pan as well as the mating surfaces of the Oil Pan and lower cylinder block. For installation apply continuous bead of silicon sealant (GM P/N 12346240) to the engine Oil Pan mating surface, then install the Oil Pan. Secure it with the fourteen bolts (1,2,4-13,15,16) and two nuts (3,14) and tighten them to 11 nm (97 inch lbs.). Replace the flywheel cover and splash shield on the right side lower of the engine, then tighten the engine oil Drain Plug and gasket to 35 nm (26 ft. Lbs). Lower the car, refill the engine with oil, and check the oil pressure.

Start by placing a drain pan under the engine Oil Pan followed by removing both the Drain Plug and gasket to drain all engine oil. After replacing the right side lower engine splash shield and flywheel cover install the engine oil Drain Plug and gasket with a torque value of 35 nm (26 ft. Lbs.). Afterward drain the Oil Pan then refuel the engine before checking the oil pressure gauges.
