Spin the emblem/nameplate with a J 25070 heat gun in a circular motion for approximately an average of 30 seconds at a distance of about 152mm (6 in) from the surface. Carefully remove the emblem/ nameplate using plastic, flat-faced instrument. Remove all adhesive with the 3M(TM) P/N 07501 adhesive remover disk for body panels or lint-free cloth (Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naptha or a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water for plastic panels). Wipe the installation area with the same solution and completely dry it. If the location has no markings, place tape and use the above designated measures for each emblem/nameplate: for the chevy bow tie, center it on the rear compartment lid with Dimension (A) at 192 mm (7.560 in) from the bottom; for the chevy bow tie, position the centering on the rear compartment lid with Dimension (A) 192 mm (7.560 in) from bottom; for v6, place it with Dimension (a) 20 mm (0.780 in) from the left side and Dimension (b) 27 mm (1.062 in) from the tail lamp; for the malibu ls place the centering with Dimension (a) 38 mm (1.500 in) from the left side, Dimension (b) 17 The J 25070 may be used to warm the mounting surface for 27-41°C (80-105°F) if necessary, with the emblem/nameplate near 29-32°C (85-90°F). Do not touch the adhesive-backing, take the protective liner off, put emblem/nameplate onto the surface where there are the marks, and stamp firmly to it for bonding. Last, take off the protective tape from mounting surface.
