A replacement of the automatic transmission shift lock actuator (Floor Shift) requires you to disconnect the negative Battery Cable. Begin by taking out the Center Console then disconnect the shift lock control electrical connector that serves the automatic transmission (AT). The technician should remove the ends of the at shift lock control that attach to pivot points. Before installation attach the upper clip of the at shift lock control to the upper pivot and the lower clip to the lower pivot position. Reinstallation of the Center Console should be followed by electrical connector installation onto the at shift lock control before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
