In order to replace the Intake Manifold, remove the
Throttle Body, then remove the fuel injector electrical connector. On vehicles with a manual transaxle, remove the engine harness clips ( 2 and 4 ) from the Intake Manifold, and remove the engine harness from the oil level indicator tube. For automatic transaxle vehicles, splice into the ground terminals of the engine harness clips (2 and 4) at the Intake Manifold andifikace the engine harness clip at the oil level indicator tube. Then unhook the fuel injector electrical connector clip and from the Intake Manifold, along with the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister tube from both the Intake Manifold and the evap solenoid. Remove the oil level indicator tube, the
Fuel Rail, and the Intake Manifold lower bolts to take off the Intake Manifold then, and remove the Intake Manifold upper bolt and nuts to replace the Intake Manifold. Check the o-ring seals on the Intake Manifold and replace them with new seals if needed. Fitting Intake Manifold and Intake Manifold upper bolt and nuts should be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reattach the Fuel Rail and the oil level indicator tube and attach the evap canister purge tube on the Intake Manifold and the evap solenoid. For vehicles with an automatic transaxle, connect the engine harness clips 2 & 4 to the Intake Manifold and connect the engine harness clip to the oil level indicator tube. For vehicles with a manual transaxle, connect the engine harness clips (2 and 4 next to each other) at the Intake Manifold, followed by the engine harness clip at the oil level pipe and the fuel injector electrical connector clip to the Intake Manifold. Last but not least, connect back the fuel injector's electric connector and install the Throttle Body.
