How to replace the wiper motor on Chevrolet Express 3500?

Start replacing the wiper motor by getting both the Wiper Transmission Separator (J 39232) and Wiper Transmission Installer (J 39529). Start by taking off both wiper arms together with the air inlet grille panel. Unplug the wiper motor electrical connector but keep it attached to the module. Then remove the four mounting bolts and take the entire wiper system drive module out of the car. The new wiper motor installation starts by using the Wiper Transmission Separator (J 39232) to disconnect the wiper motor crank arm from the drive link then removing its two retaining bolts and pulling the motor out of the wiper drive system module. Install the new wiper motor onto the wiper drive system module and fasten it with two bolts while tightening the bolts to 8Nm of torque (71inch pounds). Replace both drive link ends on the wiper arm using the Wiper Transmission Installer before you put back the wiper drive system module and fasten it with four bolts at 8 N.m (71 lb in). Connect the wiper motor electrical connector and put back the air inlet grille panel and the wiper arms. Check whether the wipers work correctly by turning them on.
