To change the Ignition Coil, you need to remove the engine cover if it is present, then untape the electrical connectors and remove the Ignition Coil wire from the
Distributor. After that, remove the studs that hold the bracket and Ignition Coil to the
Intake Manifold, and then remove the bracket and Ignition Coil. Remove the two rivets that are welded to the bracket and fit the Ignition Coil, and consequently, pull out the Ignition Coil from the bracket. For installation, you use the replacement coil for ignition that comes with two screws for connecting the Ignition Coil to the bracket where you screw them to 11 n.m (97 lb in). Resecure the Ignition Coil and bracket to the Intake Manifold using the studs also securing them down at 11 n.m (97 lb in). Make sure the Ignition Coil wire is fitted avoiding interference with any objects such as dip stick, this avoids the inadvertent grounding or shorting with time. Last but not least, reattach the electrical connectors and the engine cover if any was removed.
