You should start by removing the tire and wheel afterwards uninstalling the outer Tie Rod. Loosen the inner Tie Rod to relay rod retaining nut by using the j 34028 (Inner Tie Rod Wrench). After removing the nut discard it. You must inspect the shaft of the inner Tie Rod for bent or damaged threads before cleaning the tapered surface of the Steering Knuckle. Before putting in the replacement inner Tie Rod threads must get coated with suitable chassis lubricant. The inner Tie Rod installation requires a new retaining nut which becomes tightened to 112 nm (83 lb ft) using the j 34028. Install the outer Tie Rod followed by the tire along with the wheel while simultaneously lowering the vehicle down. Proper alignment requires adjustment of the front toe as the last step.
