How to replace the Air Conditioning Compressor Drive Belt on Chevrolet Express 2500?

Before starting the air conditioning compressor belt replacement process one must remove the accessory belt together with the engine protection shield. Trim the air conditioning (A/C) belt in addition to the crankshaft pulleys. Set the new belt against the back surface of the balancer and put it on the a/c pulley. The belt installation tool should be mounted on the balancer before rotating the Crankshaft Pulley 180 degrees counterclockwise by applying finger pressure to stretch the belt toward the a/c pulley. The belt's ribbed section should extend forward to properly match the a/c pulley position. A clockwise rotation of the balancer tool makes the belt installation tool separate from the belt. Check the Drive Belt alignment when the balancer reaches 360 degrees clockwise rotation before inspecting the Drive Belt installation quality. Reinstallation of both the skid plate and accessory Drive Belt needs to be performed.
