How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet Express 2500?

In order to replace Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, first, turn OFF the ignition, then lift the vehicle. Drain the cooling system down to the level of the ECT sensor and then drop the vehicle. Remove the electrical connector from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor and remove the sensor ECT. For installation, verify that replacement components are the correct part number for the use and be careful while using the coolant sensor so as not to damage the coolant sensor that may influence the fuel control system. Apply a coating of sealer GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent onto the ECT sensor threads and install ECT sensor, tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft). Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector and the engine coolant.
