The first thing that has to be done is to raise and then support the vehicle. Then take out the tire and the wheel, as well as the outer tie rod stud retaining nut. Remove the jam nut from the inner tie rod and remove the outer tie rod from the
Steering Knuckle by using the steering linkage and tie rod puller (J 24319-B). Take off the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod. For installation, tie the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod leaving the jam nut loose, then tie the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle. Mount the outer tie rod nut and tighten it in 63 nm (47 ft. Lbs.). Make sure that the power steering gear boot is not twisted after the toe adjustment and align the wheel.
