The left front Axle Shaft should be removed before using the seal remover (J 45000) to take out the axle seal from the transaxle for disposal. Cleaning of the transaxle housing seal bore must happen before installing the new axle seal. The output shaft seal installer (J 44809) helps install the left axle seal inside the transaxle while the left front Axle Shaft goes back in after support. The vehicle can be lowered down. Using dextron(R)iii automatic transmission fluid with this transaxle structure will lead to its failure because the two fluids are incompatible.
