How to replace the front door jamb switch on Chevrolet Blazer?

Replacing the front Door Jamb Switch requires the first step to disconnect the battery negative cable while observing all battery disconnect precautions. Start the replacement process by taking off the instrument panel sound insulator first from the right side then from the left side. Locate the electrical connector with your fingers before lifting to unlock the locking tabs which will allow you to remove the switch from the vehicle. You should begin the Door Jamb Switch installation procedure by fitting the new switch in position and pushing all locking tabs into place followed by reattaching the electrical connector. Place the instrument panel sound insulator first on the right side and afterward on the left side while performing the last step of reconnecting the battery negative cable.

How to replace the front door jamb switch on Chevrolet S10?

You must disconnect the negative cable of the battery before starting to replace the front Door Jamb Switch. You should remove the instrument panel sound insulators both on the right and left sides of the vehicle. The electrical connector can be disconnected with hand access while pressing tabs unlocks the Door Jamb Switch so it can be taken off the vehicle. Install the new Door Jamb Switch by seating its locking tabs all the way and then connect the electrical connector. Finish the procedure by reconnecting the negative cable of the battery then reinstalling the instrument panel sound insulators on both right and left sides of the vehicle.
