In order to replace the evaporative emission canister (EVAP), purge solenoid valve, you need to remove the intake manifold cover. Remove the engine harness electrical connector from the evap canister purge valve, and remove the the evap canister purge valve tube from the intake manifold and remove the chassis evap vapor line from the evap canister purge valve. Remove the bolt of the evap canister purge valve bracket and remove the evap canister purge valve with the bracket and separate the valve from the bracket. Check the evap canister purge valve ports for carbon release; if loose carbon is found, replace the evap canister and any other part that is necessary to remove the carbon particles. For installation, one will have to take the evap canister purge valve attach it to the bracket, put the component on the head of your cylinder and bolt it into place using the bracket bolt with a permissible tightening force of 18 n.m (13 lb ft). Hook up the chassis evap vapor passage to the evap canister clean valve and also reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the valve. Finally, reinstall the intake cover.
