How to Replace a Power Steering Hose and Ensure Proper Installation on Chevrolet Camaro?

The first step in replacing the p/s cooler pipe/hose requires placing a drain pan under the vehicle while draining engine coolant from the engine. First detach the power steering gear outlet hoses with their respective clamps off the Power Steering Cooler before extracting the hose clamps from both radiator hoses near the Power Steering Cooler and the actual hoses. Reposition the Power Steering Cooler out from its attachment on the radiator support bracket. Repeat the following steps for installation of the Power Steering Cooler by placing it on the radiator support bracket with the "engine" marking directed toward the engine and the "radiator" marking oriented toward the radiator while alignment marks should match between the cooler and the radiator hoses. Seal the Power Steering Cooler with the radiator hoses by tightening the Radiator Hose clamps into their proper position. Establish a secure connection between power steering gear outlet hoses and their hose clamps to the Power Steering Cooler. Before removing the drain pan beneath the vehicle the power steering system must be bled while adding coolant to the engine.
