    Start the right valve Rocker Arm replacement by taking out the right Camshafts while retaining the matching relationship between the Camshaft followers and their stationary hydraulic Lash Adjusters (SHLAs) and initial locations. The cleaning and examination process for rocker arms starts with removing Camshaft followers from the right cylinder head. The installation process should include generous application of lubricant gm p/n 12345001 equivalent to both the Camshaft follower roller pivot pocket and the valve slot area. Install each follower onto the valve tip so its roller surface fully coats the Camshaft lobe; old followers need to be restored to their previous position. To complete the installation, position the Camshaft followers on the valve tip and the shla while allowing the shla to have a rounded head facing upward and the valve tip to have a flat end towards it. Then install each right Camshaft one at a time.

The installation process requires generous application of lubricant gm p/n 12345001 or equivalent to the roller pivot pocket alongside valve slot areas on each Camshaft follower. Before placing the follower on the valve tip make sure it sits squarely with the roller covering the full surface of the Camshaft lobe and put reinstalled followers back in their original positions. Put the Camshaft followers onto the valve tips first and shlas next while placing the rounded end on the shla and the flat end on the valve tip then better install the left camshafts.
