The first step is to remove the
Spark Plugs and the engine front cover in order to rotate the Crankshaft for the entire replacement process. Then, detach the right bank Timing Chain Tensioner, right bank Timing Chain shoe, right bank guide and right bank Timing Chain. Then, take out the primary Timing Chain Tensioner (Tensioner), the primary upper
Timing Chain Guide (Guide) and the primary Timing Chain (Chain). Remove the left bank Timing Chain Guide, shoe and tensioner as well as the right bank camshaft intermediate Timing Chain idler. Last step is to take out the left bank Timing Chain and clean and inspect all camshaft timing drive parts, installing new ones if required. Begin installation by inserting the left bank Timing Chain (Chain) and then following it with the left bank camshaft intermediate Timing Chain idler (Idler), left bank Timing Chain Guide (Guide), left bank Timing Chain shoe (Shoe) and left bank Timing Chain Tensioner (Tensioner). After that, place the right bank camshaft intermediate Timing Chain idler (Idler), primary Timing Chain (Chain), primary upper Timing Chain Guide (Guide) and primary Timing Chain Tensioner (Tensioner). Replace the right bank Timing Chain with the guide, shoe and tensioner. Install the spark plugs and the engine front cover as the last step.
