Start by removing the wheel driveshaft nut then discard it and separate the antilock brake system (ABS) sensor harness connector and the abs sensor harness connector from the backing plate. First clear the Parking Brake Cable bracket from the knuckle and disconnect the Parking Brake Cable from the parking brake lever. Start by removing the upper Ball Joint mounting nut before using the Ball Joint remover (J 43631) to disconnect the ball stud from the knuckle. Use a suitable jack to position the lower Control Arm before removing these parts in sequence: lower shock mounting bolt, Trailing Arm to knuckle mounting bolt and nut, lower Control Arm to knuckle mounting bolt and adjustment link to knuckle mounting bolt. A Wheel Hub remover can require either the axle remover (J 45859) or cj129 universal hub puller - snap-on or 7394 universal hub puller - otc to separate the wheel bearing/hub from the drive axle. First remove the wheel drive shaft from the wheel bearing/hub utilizing the axle remover (J 45859), cj129 universal hub puller - snap-on or 7394 universal hub puller - otc before removing the knuckle from the vehicle and wheel bearing/hub bolts then complete the removal process with the knuckle and backing plate from the wheel bearing/hub. During installation phase start by connecting the knuckle and backing plate to the wheel bearing/hub before tightening the wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts to 125 n.m (92 lb ft). First tighten the new wheel drive shaft nut to 160 n.m (118 lb ft) torque values. Following this, connect both the backing plate and the abs sensor electrical connector before reinstalling a new wheel drive shaft nut. To complete the replacement, install the brake rotor before putting on the tire and wheel then lower the vehicle.
