How to replace the A/C Switch control module on Cadillac SRX?

You need to start by shutting down the engine and engaging parking brake along with moving transmission into its lowest possible gear range. First dismantle the HVAC Control Module trim plate by unscrewing the behind-the-ashtray screw while gently pulling the plate toward the right and left sides. Use the disconnect tool to disconnect both the HVAC Control Module electrical connector and the ash tray electrical connector after removing HVAC Control Module screws to free the HVAC Control Module. Put the HVAC Control Module into the trim plate housing then fasten it with HVAC Control Module screws according to a torque setting of 2 n.m (18 lb in). Complete the installation by connecting both electrical connectors and pressing the trim plate to let the tabs find their position. Reinstall the screw in the ashtray area using torque to 2 n.m (18 lb in), put the transmission in park, and release the parking brake.
