How to replace the LH Lash Adjuster on Cadillac Seville?

To replace the left valve lifter, remove initially the left valve rocker arms and the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from the bores. Check and clean the valve lifters. When installing, do not stroke or cycle the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster plunger without oil in the lower pressure chamber. Inflate (top off) the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) with clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or equivalent carefully so as not to scratch the pivot sphere of the shla. Lastly, fit the new shla's into the bores and replace the left valve rocker arms.
