Support the vehicle when lifted and take out its wheel before you exchange the front wss for 4 wheel drive systems. Unbolt the brake rotor from the specified 1500 series equipment. Clean all attachment points of the wss cable clip before disconnecting it from the frame, knuckle, and upper
Control Arm. Remove the electrical connector from the wss cable. Gently uninstall the wss from the hub/bearing unit in 2500/3500 trucks by pulling it out without prying to preserve the sensor body integrity. When installing the new wss you need to block debris entry, brush the hub surface clean, apply a thin coat of specification spray gm p/n 01051344 to hub and sensor areas. Install the wss into the hub/bearing assembly with flat alignment, secure the wss mounting bolt at 18 nm (13 ft. Lbs.). Reconnect the wss mounting clips to proper locations on suspension and frame then link the wss electrical connector after putting back the brake rotor on 1500 models before restoring tire and wheel and running diagnostic system check on the vehicle.
