The valve lifter remover (J 3049-A) along with other equivalent tools remains available if needed to break loose stuck valve lifters. The guide components should receive organization or marking for correct assembly placement. First inspect and clean the valve lifters if needed. For reused valve lifters be sure to put them back exactly where they originally were. Pour clean engine oil over both valve lifters and guide bores before putting the lifters into their proper positions where each flat surface must align before pushing the lifters fully down the bore. Secure engine block valve lifters and guides then add valve lifter guide bolts before tightening them to 12 nm torque (106 inch lbs. Torque). Afterward replace the Cylinder Head with a new gasket.
