The first step to replace the left side Engine Mount (AWD) requires wheel steering security to protect the sir system from damage. First disconnect the battery ground cable before removing the cross vehicle brace then taking out the exhaust system. The procedure begins with removing right and left lower Engine Mount retaining nuts before disconnecting the lower intermediate Steering Shaft from the steering gear and putting the shaft out of the way. Place a screw jack with a wooden block underneath the Oil Pan. After removing the upper Engine Mount retaining nut you can put the support into place. Place another screw jack behind the front frame to support its rear section. Remove frame rear and center mounting bolts so that you can loosen front frame bolts by 12.7 mm (0.5 in) to 25.4 mm (1 in). First raise the engine to move weight from the mount while simultaneously lowering the screw jack underneath the frame. Install the new Engine Mount followed by raising the rear segment of the frame to perform mounting of the frame bolts without tightening at first, proceed by tightening all four bolts in sequence starting with left front, right front, center front, and finally rear front to a torque of 191 nm (141 lb ft). Install the upper Engine Mount retaining nut and tighten to 80 nm (59 lb ft) followed by right and left lower Engine Mount retaining nuts that should be tightened to 80 nm (59 lb ft). The maintenance process includes refitting the lower intermediate Steering Shaft to the steering gear followed by reinstallation of the exhaust system before vehicle lowering to install the cross vehicle brace and completing with reconnecting the battery ground cable.
