In order to replace the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module coil, it's not before turning off the ignition and deactivating the sir system. Displace the retaining ring, wire protector and air bag clock spring assembly. For installment, keep the wheels straight ahead and align the block tooth and centering mark of the race and upper shaft assembly at the 12 o'clock position. The new air bag clock spring assembly will be pre centered; the following instructions to use the existing one are to use the no ice of the air bag clock spring assembly (Grand Motor Company). You should adjust the steering column to the 12 o'clock position, and mount the hanging air bag clock spring assembly to the race and upper shaft assembly. Once it is installed, pull a tab to remove the pre centered feature. Install the wire protector with the support bracket and followed by retaining ring. Connect the air bag clock spring assembly connector with the fused jumper assembly connector. Mount the Steering Wheel and the Steering Wheel nut onto the steering column shaft and tighten it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft). Lastly, install the Steering Wheel inflator module and set the sir system in position.
