How to replace the front brake calipers (J55) on Cadillac DTS?

When replacing the front brake caliper (J55), one should first check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir. If the level is above the midway between the maximum-full point and the minimum allowable level, drain the brake fluid to the midway point. Raise and support the vehicle and mark the relation of the wheel on relation convent to the axle flange and removes the tire and wheel assembly. Place a big c-clamp on the brake caliper body, and tighten it until the caliper pistons will slide over the brake rotor, then take off the c-clamp. Unscrew the brake hose to caliper bolt and remove the 2 copper brake hose gasketsmak recycling the 2 coppers brake hose gasket, and plug the openings to plug the fluid loss and the contamination. You need to remove brake caliper pin bolts and remove brake caliper. In case of reusing brake caliper pin bolts and retainers, clean it out with denatured alcohol and let it air dry with non-lubricated, filtered air. Mount the brake caliper onto the brake pads into the bracket and apply a thin layer of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to pin bolts and mount them and tighten to 113 n.m (83 lb ft). Clamp together the new copper brake hose gaskets to the brake hose bolt, then securely mount it onto the brake caliper, tightening it to 45 n.m (33 lb ft). Slowly bleed the brake system then, after turning off the engine, gradually press the Brake Pedal to about 2/3 its travel, release it, and keep repeating this until you have a firm pedal. Finally, lowered the vehicle, reinstall the tire and wheel assembly.
