In order to replace the body Emblem and door lower molding on a rear door, a heat gun (J 25070) is necessary. Start by heating the loose Emblem using the heat gun (J 25070), at a distance of about 152 mm (6 in), heat from the Emblem surface by moving in a circular motion to be able to pull away the Emblem from the grille. Remove either the loose wreath or crest from the grille, and then remove the old Emblem adhesive by sliding a plastic flat-bladed tool under it, then clean the area with 3m(R) p/n 07501 or equivalent. Wash the patch warm soapy water and dry with a lint-free cloth. For installation, clean the area with a clean lint-free cloth using a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water, and do not touch the tape and do not let the tape to touch dirt. Peel the adhesive tape backing off, line up the pins at the back end of the Emblem (1,2) with the popped holes in the grille and press down firmly on the Emblem for 30 seconds to make sure it is well adhered.
