Start maintenance and repair of the Coolant Reservoir by draining engine coolant partially. To disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank and the connector from the Coolant Level Sensor utilize the hose clamp remover/installer (J37097-A). First remove both mounting nuts for the air relay bracket followed by removing the entire bracket itself. Begin by using the hose clamp remover/installer (J37097-A) to disconnect the surge tank outlet hose from the surge tank. Once the hose is off, remove the surge tank mounting screws and nuts to take out the surge tank. Set the surge tank over the wheelhouse studs before installing its fasteners by screwing the surge tank bolt and nuts at 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). Then reinstall the surge tank outlet hose using the hose clamp remover/installer (J37097-A). Install the air relay bracket filling its two nuts with 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) torque. To complete the installation connect the surge tank inlet hose with the Coolant Level Sensor then fill the cooling system.
