The j42069-1 and j42069-2 should be installed to the camshaft gears as needed by loosening the upper idler pulley for clearance. Begin the procedure by enjoying the Timing Belt Tensioner nut, upper idler pulley bolt, before extracting the lower idler pulley bolt and lower idler pulley along with the spacer. The Timing Belt alignment kit (J42069) should be taken off the Crankshaft sprocket while preventing separate motion of the camshaft and Crankshaft. The direction arrows of a new or used Timing Belt should face the same direction as Crankshaft rotation while the double dash tdc mark should match the Crankshaft sprocket and oil pump housing marks. After placing the Crankshaft at tdc position, start by applying proper tension to the Timing Belt at the upper idler pulley before setting its initial tension. Checking the Timing Belt reference marks then remove locking tools before turning the Crankshaft rightward until #1 cylinder reaches 60 degrees btdc position. Before proceeding with the operation secure the moveable lever of Timing Belt alignment kit (J42069). Users should verify that reference marks on camshaft gears match up with the notches on the rear Timing Belt cover by using the Timing Belt alignment kit (J42069). Use the proper process for adjustment when needed or establish the final Timing Belt tension then tighten the upper idler pulley bolt to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). To finish the procedure remove the Timing Belt alignment kit (J42069) while reinstalling the Crankshaft balancer along with the Timing Belt cover.
