Remove the Fuel Rail supply and return lines before unclipping and repositioning the heater hoses from their retainer. The bolt securing the heater hose retainer bracket to the intake plenum needs removal before extracting the heater hose retainer bracket. Use the j 43301 coil pack remover (J 43301) while disconnecting the coil pack electrical connector then carefully remove the coil pack retainer bolts without over-tightening the tool. To remove the coil pack apply even pressure when lifting the j 43301 through its threaded insertion into the coil pack aperture. Check coil pack seals along with Spark Plug boots for deterioration before replacing damaged components. Press the coil pack boots onto their respective spark plugs before seating the coil pack in position carefully. Secure the coil pack retainer bolts at 8 n.m (71 lb in) torque specification. Connect the coil pack electrical connector then install the heater hose retainer bracket to the intake plenum by tightening its retainer bracket bolt to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Start by mounting the heater hoses to the retaining bracket while also maintaining position on fuel lines using counter-holding to protect against Fuel Rail damage before completing assembly with Fuel Rail hardware tightened to 15 n.m (11 lb ft).
