How to replace the Back Up Light Switch (Aisin AY6) on Cadillac CTS?

The first step for replacing the back up lamp switch (Aisin AY6) involves lifting and supporting the vehicle securely. Disconnect the electrical connector which powers the back up lamp switch. A 27 mm wrench helps remove back up lamp switch and washer (208) from the case for disposal of the washer. After installing the back up lamp switch you need to fit both a NEW washer (208) then secure the switch to the case at 44 Nm (32 ft. lbs.). Reestablish connection of the back up lamp switch electrical connector followed by lowering the vehicle.
