Disengage the electric connector from the generator before moving the protective boot away from the end of the generator's bat terminal. First disconnect the battery positive lead from the generator and the generator output bat terminal nut followed by removing the ebcm electrical connector. First remove the engine mount lower nuts along with the generator lower bolts then proceed to drop the vehicle. Use the support fixture to lift the engine and remove the generator's upper bolt to extract the generator. The installer should remove generator shield bolts and shield when needed. Installation procedures begin with generator shield and bolt application before connecting the engine generator partnership followed by engine lowering with support fixture assistance.
