Apply threadlocking compound which meets gm p/n 89021297 or its equivalent product to the Wiper Arm nut before you install and tighten it to 30 n.m or 22 lb ft. After positioning the wiper nut cover on top install the washer hose back to the Wiper Arm. Turn on the wipers to confirm normal working and seal the hood last.

Fasten the drive shaft and arm nut by turning it 30 n.m (22 lb ft) to operate the wiper transmission. Transfer the Wiper Arm pin before mounting the cover onto the nut. Apply windshield washer solvent on the hose then attach it to the washer nozzle for simplified installation. Check the wiper movement before turning the system off.
