To replace the rear axle upper control arm, lift and support the vehicle, then remove the tire and wheel, wheelhouse panel, after the wheel. Then, raise and support the rear axle at the designed D - height according to Trim Height Specifications. If the vehicle equipped with air suspension, depressurized air suspension system and remove the air suspension leveling sensor link from rear axle upper control arm. Go on to get rid of the rear axle upper control to axle mounting bolt and nut as well as the rear axle upper control to frame mounting bolt. Now, remove the rear axle upper control. The installation process starts with the rear axle upper control arm and then the rear axle upper control arm to frame mounting bolt followed by the rear axle upper control arm to axle mounting nut and bolt in which you tighten the rear axle upper control arm mounting bolts to 131 Nm (97 ft. lbs.). If the vehicle has air suspension, restore the link of air suspension leveling sensor to the rear axle upper control arm. Subsequently, take away the rear axle support, install the wheelhouse panel, reintroduce the tire and wheel, lastly reduce the vehicle.
