Before touching the Valve Stem Oil Seal and valve spring you need to park the Piston at top dead center (TDC) to stop the valve from entering the cylinder. First clean and open the
Spark Plug to access the Spark Plug recess area. Take off the Spark Plug and the
Rocker Arm together. Secure the valve spark port adapter j 22794 into the Spark Plug hole to stabilize the valve. Use compressed air to keep the valve in its position. Use the valve spring compressor tool j 5892-d to compress the valve spring onto the valve spring compressor adapter en-47823. Unscrew valve spring cap keys to expose and take out valve cap pieces along with the valve spring unit and Valve Stem Oil Seal. Before assembly apply engine oil to the valve stem and use the appropriate oil seals by placing the black seal inside the intake valve. Set both tools on the valve spring and compress it. Reassemble the valve components by inserting the valve cap and spring before depressing the spring a second time with the tools. Insert valve cap keys by applying grease if needed and make sure they fit perfectly into position. After removing compressed air work through the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) from its port. Reposition the Rocker Arm before putting the new Spark Plug back in place.
