To replace the
Throttle Body heater inlet hose/pipe do not forget to partially drain the cooling system. Remove the brake booster hose and the wiring harness from the remote power steering fluid reservoir, then unbolt the mounting bolts for the reservoir and set it aside. Next, pull the
Wiper Motor module to gain access to the rear of the Throttle Body heater inlet hose. Unplug the heated sensitive oxygen connector from the rear of hose then use 90 degrees needlenose pliers to unhook the hose from water crossover. Unplug the electrical connector from the coil pack, then disconnect the cam shaft position sensor connector, the left knock sensor connector, and the vacuum pipe retainer at the front of the Throttle Body heater inlet hose. Disconnect the vacuum brake booster hose from the vacuum source along with the bolts fastening the hose to the intake plenum and the engine rear lift bracket. At last, disengage the hose from the Throttle Body and remove it from the engine. For those installing, the inlet hose/pipe new Throttle Body has to be placed at its position and connected to the Throttle Body. Feed in the bolts to properly attach the hose to the intake plenum and engine rear lift bracket, tightening to 9 n. M (80 lb in). Reconnect all the vacuum brake booster hose, camshaft position sensor connector, left knock sensor connector, and vacuum pipe retainer to the front of the hose and the electrical connector to the coil pack. Reset the hose to its connection, the water crossover and heated oxygen sensor connector to the back of the hose. Reinstallation of the Wiper Motor module and the remote power steering fluid reservoir; mounting bolts must be fastened to the intake plenum, 9 n.m (80 lb in) and for the cylinder both 25 n.m (18 lb ft), the bolts for the intake plenum must be fastened to the cylinder head 9 n.m (80 lb in), and bolts for the intake plenum and cylinder head must be fastened to the case 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Last, reconnect the brake booster hose and the wiring harness to the remote power steering fluid reservoir and refill the cooling system.
