2010 Chevrolet Impala Air Hose Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the air hose outlet duct on 2010 Chevrolet Impala?
A: Start by removing the intake manifold cover to change the air cleaner outlet duct. The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube must be disconnected from the air inlet duct before service. You should loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp which attaches to the Throttle Body before you remove the duct from the Throttle Body. The next step involves relaxing the air cleaner outlet duct clamp locking the maf/iat sensor before extracting the duct from this sensor. Begin the installation process with the maf/iat sensor by attaching the air cleaner outlet duct. Secure the clamp tighten it to 3 nm (27 lb in). Settle the duct in position on the Throttle Body before tightening its clamp to meet the same torque value. After finishing the install process connect the pcv tube to the air inlet duct before you reinstall the intake manifold cover.
