2010 Chevrolet Corvette Coolant Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: First turn OFF the ignition while maintaining solid jack stand support underneath the vehicle opposite the removal area before beginning to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor because unsupported major components present serious risk of injury or death. Lift the vehicle using a jack and draw out coolant until the ECT sensor stays submerged. Separate the ECT sensor's harness connector while lowering the vehicle until you can safely remove it from the sensor while being careful not to damage parts essential for fuel control. Use thread sealer P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or an alternative to coat the ECT sensor's threads before sensor installation. Fasten the ECT sensor by turning it to 20 Nm (15 lb ft). Reconnect the ECT sensor's electrical connection points then fill the engine coolant system with fluid.
