Use a suitable drain setup under the oil pan Drain Plug to let all the oil drain off. Install the new o-ring seal into the oil pan Drain Plug while tightening it to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Afterward lower the vehicle to install the new Oil Filter cartridge. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the filter's oil cap threads before you install it to avoid damaging the threads while also making sure you can remove it properly. A 6-point socket should be used to install the Oil Filter cap while tightening it to 25 nm (18 lb in).
