- Q: How to replace the lower intake manifold on 2010 Cadillac SRX?A: Obtain new lower Intake Manifold replacement by draining the cooling system through cooling system draining and filling (Static Fill LF1) or cooling system draining and filling (GE 47716) or cooling system draining and filling (Static Fill LAU). Start by removing the upper Intake Manifold before you remove the fuel injector rail. After removing the two lower Intake Manifold bolts you must take out the lower Intake Manifold along with its accompanying lower Intake Manifold gasket . Thoroughly examine the lower Intake Manifold after it undergoes cleaning. Begin lower Intake Manifold installation by applying a new lower Intake Manifold gasket then install the lower Intake Manifold . Special care needs to be exercised when handling fasteners. Screw in the 2 lower Intake Manifold bolts at 23 nm (17 lb ft) torque. Install the upper Intake Manifold together with the fuel injector rail from start to finish. The cooling system requires fluid through cooling system draining and filling (Static Fill LF1), cooling system draining and filling (GE 47716), or cooling system draining and filling (Static Fill LAU).
