Begin the procedure by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable clamp then the left front radiator support ground terminal followed by removing the battery fuse block cover. Remove the battery positive nut from the battery fuse block and disconnect the retainers from the battery tray. Start the replacement procedure by eliminating the Secondary Air Injection Pump after which you should remove the battery positive terminal then its nut at the Starter Solenoid. Disconnect the harness retainer bolt from its mating position and the battery negative engine block ground bolt from the block. The generator nut as well as the battery positive terminal should be removed through the protective boot. Take out the battery positive cable and negative cable from the automobile but make a note of how they were routed in the engine area. Begin generator installation by applying the battery positive terminal and nut behind the device then fasten them to 15 nm torque (11 lb ft). The installation process for the Starter Solenoid demands both the battery positive terminal and nut to be inserted while tightening them to 15 nm (11 lb-ft). The negative battery ground bolt requires installation at the engine block which must be tightened to 45 nm (33 lb ft).
