Vehicle elevating and support is required as the first step for exhaust manifold rear pipe replacement. You must pull the Catalytic Converter from its rear exhaust manifold pipe nuts while pushing the exhaust system back enough for the studs on the Catalytic Converter to avoid hitting the rear exhaust manifold pipe. First remove the Catalytic Converter Gasket then detach both the rear exhaust manifold pipe from its position at the right exhaust manifold and the front exhaust manifold pipe by extracting all necessary bolts. Detach the rear exhaust manifold pipe gaskets along with the associated seals before uninstalling the rear exhaust manifold pipe flange. Starting installation with the rear exhaust manifold pipe flange placed onto the rear exhaust manifold pipe while securing the 2 rear exhaust manifold pipe to flange bolts followed by inserting the 2 rear exhaust manifold pipe to exhaust manifold bolts with a new rear exhaust manifold pipe to exhaust manifold gasket installed on the bolts. Users must install the rear exhaust manifold pipe to the front exhaust manifold pipe and exhaust manifold while tightening both backset bolts to 40 nm and frontset bolts to 25 nm. New Catalytic Converter gaskets should be placed over the studs before positioning the converter to the rear exhaust manifold pipe and tightening nuts to 25 nm (18 lb ft) while lowering the vehicle.
