The egr valve pipe needs to be placed against the Exhaust Manifold before tightening the egr pipe nut at the Exhaust Manifold to 60 nm (44 lb ft). You should lower the vehicle before tightening the egr valve pipe bolt at the water pump housing to 28 nm (21 lb ft). A replacement of the egr valve inlet pipe becomes necessary when itseparated from the water pump housing because the crush seal connection cannot be reused.
