How to replace the Power Steering Hose Outlet on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

The procedure for outlet pipe/hose replacement of the power steering gear begins with removal of left front wheelhouse liner together with front air deflector and front compartment lower noise shield after placing drain pans under the vehicle to collect fluids. The power steering gear inlet hose requires removal of its latch plate bolt along with power steering gear inlet and outlet pipe retainer bolt before separating the power steering gear outlet hose from the power steering cooler hose. First disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose fitting from its position at the steering gear followed by extracting the power steering gear outlet hose from the vehicle. First position the power steering gear outlet hose and then install its fitting on the steering gear before connecting the outlet hose to the power steering cooler hose. Start by installing the inlet and outlet pipe retainer bolt and fasten it to 10 nm (89 lb in) torque before securing the inlet hose latch plate bolt to 22.5 nm (17 lb ft). The operations include draining excess fluid followed by reinstalling the front compartment lower noise shield with the front air deflector and left front wheelhouse liner. Follow the procedure to fill and perform a bleeding process for the power steering system.
