How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on 2009 Chevrolet Malibu?

In order to change the engine oil, and oil filter, lift the vehicle and put a drain pan under the oil drain plug. Take off the plug to empty the oil and re-fit it. Take away and fit a socket or oil filter wrench, taking care not to over-torque the oil filter cap and filter. Lastly, fill the engine with engine oil.
