The process starts by acquiring new Fuel Tank module seals meant for both primary and secondary modules because these components are mandatory whenever the technician services the Fuel Tank module. The Fuel Tank holds two separate fuel level sender units with float assemblies positioned at each end of the Fuel Pump modules and these components cannot be exchanged between modules. The replacement process starts with tank fuel removal. The process continues by removing the Fuel Pump module. Remove both components for the fuel level sender unit and float from the bottom side of the top pump module section. Proceed by releasing the retaining tabs followed by sliding the level sensor upwards to extract it. The fuel level sender unit with float requires insertion onto the Fuel Pump module while the sender cap should snap into its position. Reinstall the Fuel Pump module by connecting its fuel level sender unit electrical connector to the float. Finally, reinstall the Fuel Tank.
